About University Campus Oldham

The Personal Touch

UCO’s smaller class sizes allow expert tutors to offer students a distinctive experience: one that prides itself on additional one-to-one and personalised support. That’s a fact that is borne out by the latest independent National Student Survey (2024) results which see UCO’s rating outperforming the nationwide sector averages across all themed categories. As part of this, it also scored more than 90 per cent positive responses for its teaching, learning opportunities, assessments and feedback and academic support.

Courses Leading to Great Careers

Courses that are firmly focused on the needs of the local and regional economy – and getting students a head start with their future career. Oldham College and University Campus Oldham both enjoy excellent and long-standing relationships with hundreds of key local employers across a range of sectors. We work closely with them to ensure all courses are tailored to developing the skills in Oldham, Greater Manchester, and nationally – offering speaker visits, masterclasses and work placements that help you get first-hand ‘on the job’ experience and acquire the skills employers want.

UCO has a Graduate Hub and Academic Success Centre which offer a wide range of extra support to enhance employability and facilitate the acquisition of additional skills. The tutors are specialists who have worked in their field in industry. They know what it takes to make the next step and have a strong vocational focus. UCO’s vision is simple. It is here to develop highly skilled graduates who can go on to make their mark in Oldham and beyond. We take pride in helping homegrown talents to flourish.
